Professor at the Department of Surgery, University of Tübingen; originator of an innovative minimally invasive drug delivery technique in intraperitoneal chemotherapy; specialist in gastrointestinal surgical oncology and peritoneal carcinomatosis; chief editor of the journal “Pleura and Peritoneum”; author of over 200 publications; currently one of the most frequently cited authors in the field of innovative surgical oncology techniques; founder of a leading research group studying a new methodology of surgical treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and peritoneal carcinomatosis including modern drug delivery systems.

Prof. Hyung-Ho Kim – Seoul, Korea




One of the most recognized experts worldwide in the application of laparoscopic techniques in gastric cancer treatment; together with his team performed 5,000 laparoscopic gastric surgical procedures, achieving in 2006 the top result worldwide in terms of implementation of laparoscopic techniques; a foundation member of the KLASS study group; in 2012–2015 principal investigator of the KLASS01 trial comparing laparoscopic gastrectomy with open gastrectomy; editor of scientific journals and reviewer in about a dozen periodicals in the field of surgery, surgical oncology and gastroenterology; founder of Asia's largest centre for laparoscopy and gastric cancer treatment; President of the Korean Cancer Association; president and supervisor of the KLASS project; one of the most frequently cited authors in the field of minimally invasive surgical techniques in gastric cancer; expert lecturer of a number of Asian and American medical associations.

Prof. Jan Dumanski – Uppsala, Sweden



Professor at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology and SciLifeLab, Uppsala University; eminent scientist and specialist in experimental pathomorphology, genetics and immunology; in 2006–2008 involved in research at the University of Alabama; author of multiple publications on topics related to the role and theories of genetic mechanisms underlying the process of metastasizing and predisposition for carcinogenesis; Prof. Dumanski has been actively engaged in research aimed at the characterization of the human chromosome 22; frequently cited in the most up-to-date publications in the field of surgical oncology, oncology and experimental oncology.

Prof. Samy Lewiz Habib – San Antonio, USA



Representative of University of Texas Health Science Centre at San Antonio, USA, and South Texas Veterans Health Care System, San Antonio, USA. Internationally recognized expert in research on the molecular basis of carcinogenesis and advanced techniques of targeted cancer treatment. Specialist in studies using in vivo and in vitro models. Author of about 100 publications with a high citation index on topics listed above. A number of Prof. Habib's research assumptions and conclusions are currently adopted as recommendations in international preclinical studies in experimental oncology and surgery. For his research, Prof. Habib has been awarded a remarkable number of grants including some provided by such prestigious organizations as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or the United States Department of Defense.

Dr. Martin Hübner – Lausanne, Switzerland




Employed at the Department of Visceral Surgery, University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV); expert in colorectal and peritoneal surface surgery; head of the clinical team specializing in the treatment of carcinomatosis; editor of specialist journals in the fields of surgical oncology and colorectal surgery; member of the French Academy of Sciences; examiner of Swiss medical organizations; examiner and expert of the European Association of Coloproctology; specialist in ERAS (enhanced recovery after surgery); member of the ESPEN group, co-author of the majority of recommendations and guidelines concerning ERAS.
