1. Basic sciences in obesity (genetics, central and peripheral mechanism of regulation of food intake and energy expenditure, adipokines – lipotoxicity – insulin resistance)2. Obesity phenotypes in adults and children (metabolic risk, determinants) 3. Various aspects of obesity: metabolic syndrome as a separate disease or prediabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, menstrual and reproductive disturbances, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, cancers, osteoporosis, damage of skeletal system, emotional disorders 4. Factors determining obesity (environmental, lifestyle, personality, civilization, gut microbiota, viruses) 5. May food be an addiction? (factors participating in nutritional behavior, the role of food during lifetime periods) 6. Separate problems of obesity in developmental age 7.
