Vaginal birth after cesarean delivery (VBAC) has recently become a significant problem in obstetrics. Encouraging VBAC is considered a key method of reducing the cesarean section rate in the world. Our purpose was to present current knowledge about VBAC. We have tried to show advantages and disadvantages of VBAC. We have presented results of international researches about VBAC. We concluded that only careful qualification of the patients for VBAC and good intrapartum care can result in no complicated VBAC and decreased
rate of cesarean sections.
