Diagnosis of sleep apnoea syndrome includes questionnaires, physical examinations with laryngological assessments and polysomnography. The most important symptoms are: snoring, apnoea, somnolence. Abnormalities during physical examination are obesity, upper respiratory tract stenosis and hypertention. Finally diagnosis is confirmed with polysomnography result with apnoea/hypopnoea index (AHI).
