Introduction:
Prurigo nodularis is a chronic dermatological condition characterized by intensely pruritic nodules, significantly impairing patients’ quality of life. Managing moderate to severe prurigo nodularis remains a challenge due to the limited availability of effective therapeutic options. This highlights the urgent need to develop and approve new treatment approaches to manage moderate to severe cases of prurigo nodularis effectively.

Objective:
The primary objective of this review is to collect data on the efficacy, safety, and potential side effects of new treatment options for prurigo nodularis.

Methods:
A comprehensive search of PubMed and ClinicalTrials databases was conducted using terms such as “prurigo nodularis”, “new treatment”, “trials”, and “emerging therapeutics”.

Conclusions:
Results reveal a new wave of targeted therapies addressing specific receptors and pathways, offering hope for improved disease management. While these advancements hold promise, further research is necessary to determine their long-term safety and effectiveness.
