Dear Colleagues,

Beautiful moments are approaching. Soon we will celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve – a time of calmness and rest, but also a time of summing up.
We are ending the first year of hard work with a new editorial team. Therefore, I want to hereby acknowledge all of you – authors, reviewers and the entire editorial team – who have invested so much effort in the development of our journal.
Meanwhile, many things have changed. We have a new submission panel and new, excellent reviewers, who share with us their great knowledge. We have organized the contest for young scientists. We have started cooperation with the Polish Arthroscopic Society and High Tech Surgery Association. We have launched our fan page on Facebook. Our IF has declined slightly, but we hope it will increase in 2018. Here a lot depends on the engagement of our authors. Remember in your publications about “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” journal!
I hope that in the new year the group of people interested in “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” will continue to grow. We now have a lot of papers from China, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Romania. We kindly invite all of you to cooperate with us!
As usual, in this issue you will find interesting articles about minimally invasive surgery. There are many surgical papers concerning laparoscopy. Three articles describe procedures related to surgery or urology and interventional radiology. There are also, as usual, descriptions of interesting cases. I kindly invite you to read these articles.
And for the upcoming time, I wish all of you a joyful and calm Christmas spent with your family and friends, and I wish you every success in the coming year 2018.
