Invitation
Dear Madam / Sir,
I am pleased to announce the second edition of Breast Design Days, which will be held in Lodz, Poland, on October 16 and 17, 2026. This conference will once more offer opportunities to exchange the latest knowledge and advancements in breast cancer treatment and aesthetics.
A distinguished international faculty will present recent developments in systemic treatments and surgical procedures, ranging from breast-conserving techniques to implant-based and autologous reconstructions. Key topics will include nerve-sparing mastectomies, sensory restoration, as well as tumor marking, and margin assessment to enhance complete resection rates. The session on complications will address breast deformities following lumpectomies and mastectomies, as well as various methods for their resolution. Lymphedema prevention and treatment will also be discussed. Additionally, the program will revisit microsurgical flaps, offering practical insights for both novice and experienced surgeons. The complete program will soon be available on the conference website.
The conference is designed to provide a platform for discussion and networking. Each session will allocate ample time for questions and comments on the topics presented. We will also strive to facilitate opportunities for informal meetings and social interaction among attendees, experts, and industry representatives.
The previous edition of Breast Design Days attracted 500 participants, including breast surgeons, oncologists, plastic surgeons, breast nurses, and physiotherapists from Poland and abroad. Delegations from Ukraine, Germany, and Morocco were present. For the upcoming meeting, we anticipate an even broader international audience, with physicians from additional European countries. This event offers a unique opportunity to share clinical knowledge and to present new devices, modalities, and treatments to an international audience. We offer excellent exhibition space for a variety of products, along with multiple promotional opportunities for our business partners.
I hope the upcoming Breast Design Days will provide an opportunity for professional collaboration and contribute to building a supportive ecosystem for the advancement of reconstructive surgery. At the same time, we aim to foster a collegial atmosphere and remain focused on our primary goal: improving the quality of life for our patients.
It will be my great honor and privilege to welcome you to Lodz.
Sincerely,
Michael Lewandowicz, MD PhD
Chair of the Scientific Committee
