Programme

Theoretical part:
– presentation of Dibucell Active – innovative biodegradable “living” dressing suitable for chronic wounds and ulcers,
– discussion of findings obtained in ULCERUS 1/2014 clinical trial and novel approach to ulcer therapy: how to reduce the duration of treatment, relieve pain and avoid wound traumatization.
Practical exercises:
– intended purpose and indications,
– first application of dressing – things to remember,
– further treatment with Dibucell Active – important aspects.

2. Patient with disturbed wound healing: diet and care recommendations

The session is targeted at healthcare professionals responsible for patients with wounds of varying aetiology.

Participants will become familiar with unusual cases and practical aspects of therapy, and will learn how real-life clinical cases have been resolved. A review of photographic documentation will serve as a helpful tool in tracking the diagnostic and therapeutic approach used in selected patients.

Programme of workshops
1. Demonstration of the wound treatment model and its medical rationale to healthcare professionals.
2. Presentation of practical and technical aspects of wound dressing.
3. Analysis of diagnostic and therapeutic management in selected cases (case reports)
4. Opportunity for independent case analysis, connection of enteral feeding equipment on a dummy – practical part of the workshop.
