Dear Colleagues, Over more than 20 years of the Poznań Shoulder and Elbow Course and over 10 years of the Polish Shoulder and Elbow Society, much has changed. One thing, however, has remained constant – with the arrival of spring 2027, it will once again be time to meet in Poznań.
The theme of the 2027 edition will be the intersection of tradition and progress. Should everything we have always done be replaced by innovation? Or should we step outside the comfort of routine and keep an open mind to new approaches – perhaps better ones, or simply different ones?
Our last meeting was a great success, thanks not only to the organizers but, above all, to the participants, whose enthusiasm and active involvement made the Course and Congress truly exceptional. It was your engagement that created such a stimulating atmosphere and ensured the highest scientific standards.
As a scientific society, we are committed to critical thinking and evidence-based discussion. Thursday's programme will feature scientific presentations from centres across Poland and abroad, together with State-of-the-Art lectures delivered by internationally recognised experts. Friday will focus on shoulder disorders, while Saturday will be dedicated to the elbow. We will devote additional attention to elbow pathology, with our traditional joint session for orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists addressing the challenge of elbow stiffness. There will be room for both established concepts and emerging ideas, lively debates supported by evidence, and interactive discussions centred on real clinical cases. As always, patients will remain at the heart of our conversations.
We are also delighted to welcome back the students of OSTO. On Saturday, they will not only develop their scientific skills but, as in previous years, also challenge us with fresh perspectives and thought-provoking discussions.
It is once again our great pleasure and privilege to welcome outstanding faculty members from around the world and from Poland—leaders in education, research, and clinical practice. We encourage you to follow our upcoming announcements, where we will reveal the programme and our distinguished guest speakers.
We are grateful for the longstanding support of our industry partners. We look forward to seeing the latest technologies and innovations presented during the exhibition and hands-on workshops.
We strongly believe in open minds and interdisciplinary collaboration. Experienced specialists and young colleagues, orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologists, researchers, and clinicians—all those involved in the care of patients—are warmly invited to join us.
We look forward to welcoming you to Poznań on 11–13 March 2027.
Poznań is a welcoming city with much to offer—rich in history, culture, architecture, and outstanding cuisine.
