The treatment of postoperative wounds after major surgery in obese and overburdened patients is a major challenge for medical personnel. This case report describes the process of complicated healing of a surgical wound after surgical removal of recurrent vulvar cancer. Due to the obesity of the patient and the stretching of the fatty tissue on the abdomen, the postoperative wound de-split, which resulted in bacterial colonization of the wound and hindered healing. Huge obesity made nursing activities more difficult. Difficult healing may also be related to the fact that the patient was burdened with diabetes and arterial hypertension.
