Malignant neoplasms can be associated with a wide variety of musculoskeletal manifestations. Recognition of paraneoplastic syndrome is very important, as it may be helpful in early diagnosis of cancer. Older age of onset, explosive onset of symptoms, atypical features, lack of response for glucocorticoids and conventional therapy may suggest paraneoplastic process.
