Surgery plays the most important role in the management of treatment of ovarian cancer. The first cytoreductive operation is one of the most important prognostic factors and plays an important role in the 5-year survival rate of patients.
A review of the professional literature suggests that cytoreductive surgery due to neoplastic disease should be done in highvolume clinics.
