Quiz what is your diagnosis?





A 19-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of a neck tumour noticed by the patient 6 months earlier. The MRI study revealed a tumour 23 mm in diameter, located in the soft tissues of the nape (Fig. 1). The tumour was well demarcated from the surrounding tissues and it had no connection with the skin or cervical vertebral column. Fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy was done. The microscopic picture of the smears obtained during FNA is presented (Fig. 2 – 4).
