Long-term oxygen therapy (LTOT) is a method to treat patients with permanent respiratory insufficiency, when other techniques are not effective enough. Patients who are qualified for LTOT have to fulfil strict criteria, and treatment needs to be regularly controlled. A nationwide chain of Long-Term Oxygen Therapy Centres provides complex care for patients treated for respiratory failure.
