Thoracic actinomycosis is an uncommon, chronic suppurative pulmonary and endobronchial infection caused by Actinomyces, a Gram-positive anaerobic organism. We report the case of a 68-year-old woman who presented with chronic productive cough with purulent sputum and increased body temperature. Fibreoptic bronchoscopic findings revealed an endobronchial polypoid lesion with stenotic bronchus. Histological examination showed actinomycotic colonies in specimens.
