Use of methotrexate in treatment of recurring cysts of the breast

The investigation included 25 menstruating women, aged 42-51, who after clinical and biophysical examination of their breasts were given methotrexate injection. During ultrasound of the breast and evaluation of fluid of cysts breast was injected with 1 mg/kg intracystic methotrexate. The doses of methotrexate depended on size of the breast cysts.
