Teratogenic influence and high frequency of occurrence of patogenes responsible for intrauterine infections are serious clinical and public health problem. The aim set for the above piece of work is a multi-direction approach to the CMV cytomegalovirus intrauterine infection question in perinatal care and its influence on the health condition of a contemporary society. Available epidemiological data analysis was conducted. Authors focused on clinical aspects, diagnostic issues and treatment process concerning CMV intrauterine infections problem. Necessity of introducing preventive methods in this field was emphasised.
