title="Case reportPhotodynamic therapy in the treatment of multiple solar keratosis foci caused by chronic exposure to sunlight",
abstract="This case presents the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of solar keratosis in a patient exposed to sunlight in occupational conditions. The patient spent several years in southern Europe and Africa. An additional factor was that he had skin phototype II (blue eyes, red hair). Multiple lesions of solar keratosis were found on the back and limbs as grey to yellow plaques showing some fluid on the surface. The patient was given a 20% solution of aminolevulinic acid (ALA) in the form of cream in a eucerin base. Light irradiation was performed within 6 hours after application of the cream. The light source was a halogen lamp (Penta Lamps Teclas) l =630 nm. The total light dose was 120 J/cm 2 . The lesions of solar keratosis completely healed after single exposure to light. Photodynamic therapy is an effective method of treatment of solar keratosis. It allows very good cosmetic effects to be obtained after a single attempt.",
