abstract="For many years the subject of terminating pregnancy has been causing many emotions and controversies all over the world. Life is the highest good of man, therefore it is protected by the state. Doctors working in public, as well as in non-public health care institutions should be very familiar with regulations regarding the legal aspects of pregnancy termination. Performing abortion against the regulations of the Act On Family Planning, Human Embryo Protection And Conditions Of Permissibility Of Abortion is a crime under Polish legislation, and it is prosecuted ex officio by the Public Prosecutor. The following article presents legal aspects of terminating pregnancy by a doctor.",
