abstract="Inflammatory skin lesions around a urostomy are a common complication. Unpleasant sensation with skin changes round the urostomy, such as itching, burning, and even pain, which can accompany the leak of urostomy pouches, can negatively influence the patient\’s quality of life. The patient\’s preparation after urostomy for proper self care of the fistula and the skin round it as well as the use of professional equipment are the most important.",
