abstract="The development of telecommunication and information technologies allows easy access to medical services for the general public. It concerns diagnosis, therapy and prevention in particular. Telemedicine systems find applications not only for people that live over a wide area but for patients and doctors in a single hospital too. In the paper, basic aspects of projects, initiation and utilization of telemedicine systems are presented. In particular, the PH-net system as a practical example is discussed.",
