title="Mesenteric desmoid tumour mimicking uterine fibroid",
abstract="In the study a case of mesenteric desmoid tumour mimicking uterine fibroid is presented. The patient was qualified for abdominal hysterectomy due to anemisation and pain in the lower abdomen. In ultrasound examination, large subserosal uterine fibromas were detected. There were no other symptoms suggesting the presence of tumour of other than uterine origin. This case report confirms the small but significant possibility of the coexistence of undiagnosed and unexpected, other than the female genital tract tumours, diagnosed during a routine surgical procedure. This case illustrates some unusual problems that appeared during the most frequent surgical procedure in gynaecology.",
