title="BAHA\® system in hearing impairment fitting",
abstract="The BAHA\® system (BAHA \– Bone Anchored Hearing Aid) is a well established treatment option for patients with conductive or mixed hearing loss, based on the bone conduction phenomenon. The key solution of the system is a titanium implant placed in the temporal bone, to let the vibrations from the sound processor pass into the inner ear. Clinical studies confirmed the efficacy of BAHA\® in hearing rehabilitation, presenting significant improvement in sound detection and speech perception in background noise, subsequently increasing quality of life. The present work discusses indications, surgical technique, outcome and complications related to bone anchored hearing aid fitting.",
