abstract="In endocrinopathy usually we can observe hyperinsulinism and impaired glucose tolerance, mostly without acidosis. Increased secretion of hormones antagonistic to insulin induces metabolic dysfunction, for example increasing the production of glucose in the liver, by intensifying glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis, as well as decreasing its use in peripheral tissue. In this case we observe: hyperglycaemia and impaired glucose tolerance. The increased insulin secretion is responsible for tissue resistance and stimulation by hormones antagonistic to insulin.",
