abstract="Human hairs lost their primary function as temperature regulators, nowadays they act only partially as elements sheltering from harmful mechanical, chemical and physical events, and besides play a sexual role. In the paper the characteristics of a human hair cycle, pathomechanism of hair loss and physiopathology of growth and loss of the human scalp hair were presented. Reasons for losing hair were discussed.",
