title="The evaluation of the influence of cystocoele correcting procedure on lower part urinary tract function  in women without symptoms of stress urinary incontinence before operation",
abstract=" Background:  Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) often coexists with urinary incontinence, although not all patients with POP report such ailments. Symptoms of urinary incontinence may appear unexpectedly after POP correcting operations.   Aim of the study:  The assessment of incidence of occult urinary incontinence in women with POP.   Material and methods:  In our research we included 25 female patients, aged between 36-78 years old, operated in our Department between March 2008 and March 2009, who underwent pre- and postoperative urogynaecological and urodynamic examination.   Results:  In preoperative examination occult urinary incontinence was diagnosed in 5 women, one was diagnosed both with occult urinary incontinence and overactive bladder. In postoperative course in discussed above group of 6 patients, symptoms of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) were found in 5 of them. One patient was free of symptoms of SUI.   Conclusions:  Occult urinary incontinence occurs in approximately 25% patient with prolapse of anterior vaginal wall. Cystocoele correcting procedure is correlated with high rate of postoperative stress urinary incontinence.",
