title="Carotid body tumor and paraganglioma of the larynx – a case report",
abstract="Paraganglioma is a tumour arising from an extraadrenal nonchromaffinic tissue. In the head and neck area there are four group of tumors: 1 – growing in carotid artery bifurcation-carotid body tumor (glomus caroticum), 2 – located in jugular vein bulb on the skull base (glomus jugulare), 3 – growing along vagal nerve with primary location in the inferior ganglion of vagal nerve (glomus vagale), 4 – located in the tympanic cavity (glomus tympanicum) and 5 – very rare cases located e.g. in larynx and in other organs. Approximately in 30% of paragangliomas germline mutation of succinate dehydrogenase can be observed. We present rare case of paraganglioma in young female, which was located in left carotid artery bifurcation and in the right part of the larynx. We describe diagnostic schedule and way of treatment",
