title="The role of cosmetic plant raw materials in treatment of dermatological lesions induced by hyperandrogenism",
abstract="Skin diseases of hyperandrogenic origin such as hirsutism, androgenetic alopecia, seborrhoea, acne vulgaris, rosacea and seborrhoeic dermatitis are the concern of a great number of dermatological patients. Despite the many pharmacological therapeutic methods available, patients frequently seek plant supportive agents. Phytotherapy is the science of using natural extracts as drugs or health promoting agents. It developed dynamically in the 20th century. The great interest in such natural methods has led to intensive development of production of natural products by pharmaceutical companies. Knowledge of plants which have the ability to inhibit androgenic hormone may bring considerable benefits in therapy of skin diseases triggered by hyperandrogenism. It is worth getting to know the properties of plants such as soybean, stinging nettle, green tea, chaste tree, red stinkwood, saw palmetto, black cohosh or liquorice.",
