abstract=" In the ENT Department of Poznań University of Medical Sciences, 64 patients were treated for lateral skull base pathologies. Patients with tumours, inflammatory disorders and neurophysiological pathologies were treated in the department. Patients suffering from paragangliomas of the temporal bone, acoustic neuroma, otogenic brain abscess, and neurovascular conflicts were treated in the department. Brain stem implants and management of temporal bone CSF leaks were also performed in the department. Different surgical approaches were used: petrosectomy, trans labyrinthine, retrosigmoid and infratemporal. In all cases the monitoring of the facial nerve was used. Results of neuro otological surgery are presented. ",
