title="Role of the nurse in thrombolytic therapy for the patient with ischaemic stroke: a case report",
abstract="The change in the organization of treatment and care of stroke patients, which centered on isolation of stroke wards, led to a decrease of mortality indicators in these patients. Currently, among available methods of treatment, only the thrombolysis treatment is considered as the most effective. Effectiveness and safety of this therapy is conditional upon the familiarity and strict observance of both the inclusion criteria and the rules of conduct during treatment. The role of a nurse in this area is crucial. It rests on efficient coordination of diagnostic activities, overseeing strict patient observation, monitoring of vital signs, and providing appropriate nursing care to patients in the last stages of stroke. The work presents the role of a nurse in the course of the thrombolysis using the example of a female patient undergoing such a treatment.",
