abstract="In the last years new guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of coeliac disease in children and adolescents, developed by ESPGHAN, NASPGHAN and AGA Institute, were published. These publications presented the definition and classification of coeliac disease, indications for diagnostic investigation, clinical aspects, importance of HLA and serological investigation as well as duodenal biopsy. The diagnostic algorithm in patients with and without symptoms and the algorithm for treatment monitoring were described.",
