title="Livedo vasculopathy",
abstract=" Livedo vasculopathy  is a chronic, recurrent disease of small blood vessels, localized on the distal parts of lower extremities. It is clinically characterized by purpuric macules and papules that progress to painful ulcerations which heal leaving white-coloured, asteroid-shaped scars ( atrophie blanche ). The etiopathogenesis of the disease is still unclear. Thrombo-embolic or inflammatory etiology is suspected. Histopathology manifests endothelial proliferation, thrombotic occlusion and segmental hyalinosis of blood vessels. Immunopathology shows depositions of immunoglobulins, fibrin and complement in vessel walls. If clinical and histopathological features suggest the diagnosis, there is a need to carry out a screening for coagulation disorders. The optimal treatment has not been determined.",
