abstract=" The authors of this paper present the case of a 48-year-old female patient suffering from a tumour of the cervicothoracic spine. The patient was admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology, Poznan University of Medical Sciences, in order to undergo investigative surgery of the neck, obtaining a biopsy specimen of the tumour for histopathological examination. In the course of the disease, the patient presented with symptoms of flaccid tetraplegia, persistent pain in the cervicothoracic spine and increasing dysphagia. The final histopathological diagnosis was chondrosarcoma. ",
