title="PAT.2.0 as a method identifying the psychosocial needs of families of children with cancer in Polish conditions",
abstract="Cancer in a child’s life is a source of chronic stress for the whole family. Some families, with support and education, are able to effectively cope with the situation and adapt to the disease and its treatment. The remainder of them, however, require strong support from many institutions. In Poland we do not have a reliable, empirically proven tool allowing identification of the needs of families and the necessary psychosocial support. In the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) a tool, PAT2.0, was developed to evaluate these issues. In the Division of Oncology of the Children’s Memorial Health Institute it was decided to adapt the questionnaire to Polish conditions, so that in the future we will be able to effectively assess the situation and undertake effective family psychosocial interventions at the time of diagnosis. Słowa kluczowe: wsparcie psychospołeczne rodziny, dziecko z nowotworem, narzędzie skriningowe PAT2.0.",
