title="Usage of scales in evaluation of craniocerebral trauma patients in neurological nursery practice: preliminary reports",
abstract=" Objectives:  The aim of work was to evaluate the condition of patients after craniocerebral trauma using the clinimetric scales.   Material and methods : Examinations were carried out on a group of 51 people after craniocerebral trauma. Patients were evaluated using standard tools, VAS, GCS, FCS and FIR scales, on admission and on the day of their discharge home. When verifying our hypotheses, the significance level was set at p = 0.05.   Results : Before the treatment, most of the people (43.1%) described their pain as strong – on average 4.47 points, on the day of discharge 64.7% of respondents did not feel any pain – on average 1.0 point. On admission, 94.1% of respondents have shown some mild awareness disorders. As regards functional capacity measured by the FCS scale, 47.1% of patients needed some care shortly after the trauma. However, after the treatment, 96.1% of patients were independent. We have also found a positive correlation between VAS and GCS (R s  = 0.28), GCS and FCS (R s  = 0.43), GCS and FIR (R s  = 0.59), and FCS and FIR (R s  = 0.87).   Conclusions:   1. The condition of people evaluated by VAS, GCA, FCS and FIR scales is significantly better on the day of discharge, in all of those scales.  2. We observed a significant correlation between GCS and VAS and also between FCS, FIR and GCS scale.  3. During the analysis of the type of treatment, we obtained a significantly higher average in the FCS scale, which shows that patients after surgery were in a worse functional state than others.",
