title="Intrauterine growth restriction \– the mode of delivery and neonatal outcome",
abstract="In intrauterine growth restriction there is 6-8-fold increase in the risk of perinatal mortality. Functional impairment of organs and systems in neonates is found to be not only a simple consequence of reduction in size but also the impossibility to achieve sufficient maturity in prenatal life. Intrauterine growth restriction leads to complications in perinatal period and has an adverse impact for the psychosomatic development in the later life of affected individuals. The authors analyzed the mode of delivery and neonatal outcome in the patients with intrauterine growth restriction diagnosed earlier in pregnancy in comparison to the outcome in appropriate for gestational weight group.",
