title="Chronic pelvic pain in women",
abstract="Chronic pelvic pain is a serious problem for gynaecology, referring to a large population of women, with our knowledge and therapeutic efficacy of modern medicine inadequate. The chronic pelvic pain incidence in the United States reaches the 2\&#8211;10 proc. level among outpatients, being the indication for about 1/5 of laparoscopies. Aetiology of the pain is multiple, including both somatic (e.g. endometriosis) and non-somatic conditions (among others gastrointestinal disorders, psychological factors). Its influence on quality of life, life-style and productivity of women testify to the importance of this issue in health care of women.",
