abstract="The advance in the studies on patients with chronic disorders of consciousness, including neuroimaging and electrophysiological techniques, enables more precise assessment and differential diagnosis of these conditions. It encourages also undertaking therapeutic attempts, comprising pharmacological treatment, surgical procedures and rehabilitation. Promising initial results of presented therapeutic strategies require further investigation and verified evaluation of their effectiveness.",
