title="Electrophysiological olfactometry in clinical practice",
abstract=" Basic cells in the olfactory epithelium play a particular role because they are able to regenerate and differentiate to perceptual cells. Olfactory epithelium biopsies allow one to detect early degeneration of the central nervous system and also provide substances for regeneration processes (basic cells and ensheathing cells). The method of blow olfactometry by Elsberg-Levy modified by Pruszewicz has been used for many years in Poland as a psychophysical method of olfactory examination. Electroolfactography is applied mainly in experimental examination. The registration of olfactory evoked potentials is one of the new clinical opportunities which is very useful during detection of simulation of olfactory defects diagnosis. ",
