abstract=" A case of a 29-year-old patient with a parapharyngeal tumor infiltrating the cervical spine and spinal cord of unclear histological etiology is presented. The final diagnosis was conducted in open biopsy of the tumor, and despite detailed histological studies it was not possible to define the neoplasm origin. The patient was disqualified from surgical treatment and palliative chemoradiotherapy was initiated due to the tumor staging and infiltration of significant life structures. Furthermore, principal outlines of the diagnostic procedure and treatment of malignant parapharyngeal space tumors are discussed.   ",
