title="The use of oxycodone/naloxone in patients with cancer-associated pain and opioid-induced bowel dysfunction: case reports",
abstract="Moderate to severe chronic pain is one of the main symptoms of cancer. Most of the patients require strong analgesics administration from the third degree of the analgesic ladder as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Bowel dysfunctions, such as constipation are typical side effects during treatment with opioids. In this article one form of causal treatment was presented. It consisted in replacing previously used opioids to oxycodone/naloxone as prolonged release tablets. In addition the problem of co-existing risk factors of constipation and the treatment of pain in patients with cognitive impairment were submitted.",
