title="Breast metastases of lung cancer. A description of two cases",
abstract="Lung cancer is the most frequent neoplasm among men. It also appears to be the second most frequent neoplasm among women following breast cancer. Two groups of epithelial neoplasm of the lung can be distinguished: small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). When NSCLC is diagnosed metastases are recognized in 50-55% of patients. At diagnosis, in 80% of patients the progression stage is stated as extensive. The metastases are mainly present in bones, bone marrow, liver, central nervous system, lymphatic nodes, adrenal glands, seldom in other organs. Breast cancer is the most frequent neoplasm among women. Metastases to breast are relatively seldom. Clinical metastatic breast tumors cause similar symptoms to those caused by primary tumors. The articles describes two cases of patients with lung cancer and metastases to breasts. The fine-needle biopsies in both patients verified metastatic character of breast tumors. It is crucial to make the correct diagnosis because the procedures in patients suffering from primary breast cancer and metastasis to breast are different. Aspiration biopsy is the best diagnostic method that allows the primary breast tuber to be differentiated from metastasis of cancer from another organ. It also allows diagnosis to be made quickly and proper treatment to be implemented.",
