abstract="This document’s goal is to outline the current position of the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee in Phlebology (MJCP) in relation to the European recognition of phlebology and the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) certification of phlebologists.  In addition, the desired education and acceptance of phlebology by the UEMS will be explained.  The MJCP was created by the UEMS Council meeting in April 2014 with the support of the UEMS sections of Dermatology, Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Radiology.  The kick-off meeting of MJCP was held in Brussels, April 10th, 2015 (MJCP Board in Appendix, doc. 1).",
