abstract="Most of general practitioners are involved in treatment of asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, atopic and contact dermatitis, angioedema and anaphylaxis due to high prevalence of allergic disorders in the general population. They should have skills in making diagnosis, realize the importance of specialist and hospital referrals and know specific treatment guidelines. It is important to remember that several drugs, including antihistamines, may decrease sensitivity of such evaluations like skin prick as well as subcutaneous tests giving false-negative results. Observance of these rules can improve cooperation between general practitioners and specialists in allergic diseases.",
