title="Anaphylactic shock",
abstract="In the course of an anaphylactic shock, a significant blood pressure reduction and an acute laryngeal dyspnea are usually noticed. The anaphylactic shock may occur not only as a consequence of insect stings and bites, but also as a result of consuming some products (e.g. peanuts, poppy seeds), taking drugs (e.g. aspirin, penicillin) or during desensitization treatment. Directions presented in the article have been established by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Taskforce on Anaphylaxis. The aim of the recommendations is to develop evidence-based guideline regarding diagnosis, provide risk assessment and treatment of patients with anaphylaxis, who had this reaction or are at risk. In the case of a serious allergic reaction, immediate help of witnesses and calling a medical rescue team including a doctor (specialist medical rescue team – S team) is necessary.",
