title="Why should we diagnose prostate cancer with multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging?",
abstract="The rising number of prostate cancer cases in the male population goes together with a growing need for more effective imaging methods for the detection and monitoring of the disease. Sonographic evaluation is inferior to magnetic resonance imaging in terms of sensitivity and specificity. The wide availability of high-field MR-scanners means that in many cases multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging of the prostate gland is the diagnostic method of choice, especially when there is a discrepancy between the results of biopsy and PSA levels.",
