title="Sexuality of young adults form Upper Silesian Region",
abstract="Objectives and study design: The aim of the study is to evaluate sexual behaviors and contraceptives among young adults in Upper Silesian Region in the aspect of age, gender, education and religion.  Materials and methods: A cross-section study was performed among 720 persons (age 18 to 26) from Upper Silesia Region. The research tool was a questionnaire \&#8222;Young Adults\&#8217; Sexual Life\&#8221;. Statistica 6,0 computer software was used in statistical analysis.  Results: The mean age was 20,5 (\&#177;2.05). 76,1% of young adults have initiated sexual life. The average initiation age was 18,1 (\&#177;1.67). 3.3% of sexual active respondents did not use any of contraceptives. A contraceptive method used the most frequently was a male condom (96.9%); the least \&#8211; intrauterine device (3.3%).  Conclusions: An average age of sexual initiation was attenuated by the age of respondents and their higher education. The media are the general education resource.",
