title="Gait analysis and estimation of the mechanism of the internal compensation in case of the patellofemoral pain syndrome",
abstract="30 persons of both sexes with different stages of knee osteoarthritis in variant degenerative changes in patellofemoral joint were examined. A functional analysis and gait evaluation was made, using CDG system (Computer Dyno Graphy) in two versions: histogram and gait-line. Similar examination of 30 healthy persons of both sexes, as a control group was made. Tested persons were observed during walking on the floor, on the stairs, with use the shoes with 4 cm high heels and without heels. The heels stimulated the quadriceps muscle, increasing the pressure in patellofemoral joint and causes intraarticular pain. Rise of back group activity (m. glutens maximus, mm. ischiocrurales, m. triceps surae) as an internal compensation, canceled m. quadriceps femoris activity and protected patellofemoral joint.",
