abstract="Bisoprolol is one of the group of modern β-adrenolytics without vasodilator properties, being also a highly cardioselective drug. In contrast to third-generation β-adrenolytics (nebivolol, carvedilol), bisoprolol much more effectively and quickly reduces heart rate, so we should use it when we want more effective control of heart rate, which is extremely important in patients with ischaemic heart disease.",
