title="Dialogue in the “tripartite communication”: doctor – child – parents relationship. Practical aspects",
abstract="This paper aims to present selected elements that constitute the relationship between the doctor and an ill child as well as the child’s parents. The discussion is based on the following assumption: all actions undertaken in the situation when a child is ill cannot be performed when only one subject participates in such activities: either a child or the child’s parents. In the interactions with the doctors, tripartite communication is undoubtedly of key importance because the course and final outcome of treatment depend on appropriate cooperation of all involved subjects (and in the case of a small child this includes the parents). The aim of the presented article is not to analyse the difference between the doctor-child relationship arising in the hospital or during the medical consultation in the office, but instead to highlight detail the common elements that are important for each relationship.",
